1.Phnom Penh City Tour, Silver Pagoda, Genocide Museum, Killing Fields
Spend about five hours seeing Phnom Penh’s Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, and Choeung Ek. Green Era Travel keeps groups to 10, supplies hotel pickup, transport, an English-speaking guide, and water. Guides including Siphat, Kasy, Daream, and Sophy have shared personal family stories about the Khmer Rouge period.

“The visit to the palace was very interesting and enjoyable. We then travelled by Tuk Tuk to the Killing Fields which is very sad, but definitely worth a visit in order to understand what the brave Cambodian people had to endure by their own people during the Khmer Rouge regime. The visit to the Genocide museum is also a harrowing experince. Our guide Siphat was excellent. He was of an age group where some of his immediate family had been persecuted during the KR regime. He also had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the country.”
